THE PAINTING PROCESS:

All bags are cleaned and deglazed to prepare for painting. Leather bags and all leather products have been glazed to protect the leather.  Leather paint takes better to the leather after the old glaze has been removed.  The bags are painted with high quality professional leather paints and then reglazed with a professional leather glaze.  This glaze is water resistent and protects the leather and the paint detail.  The glaze also protects the paint from chipping and wear.  A bag finished using this process should be more sturdy than any other leather product you own! 

If you choose to use a leather handbag provided by the Handpainted Bag Lady, the Handpainted Bag Lady only recycles High End leather handbags such as Coach, Fossil, Cole Haan, Wilson's, etc.  Typically, you can even choose your favorite style of bag such as Saddle Style, Court bag, Top zip classic, lot of pockets, etc! We have many in stock at all times to choose from!

The Handpainted Bag Lady understands some of us like a wallet to match our handbags! Have a wallet painted to match your personalized creation! We have many wallets in stock to choose from in many different styles!
